Unionists must stay focused: Campbell

Addressing party members and supporters in Newtownards, DUP MP for East Londonderry Gregory Campbell said:
"To one side of the DUP stands a Party that has no vision for the future. They were, and are, prepared to abandon any pretence of standing up to republicans in negotiations for Government or in disputes when in Government. They didn’t demand that republicans stop violence or get rid of the guns before entering a Government with them.
They didn’t stand up for the Loyal Orders when they had the opportunity, they didn’t rule out any Irish language Act, they didn’t get any financial package for devolution when they had the chance.
To the other side of us stands another voice that is prepared to complain about the SF agenda, but is not prepared to get their hands dirty opposing that agenda. - Už jste hlasovali v tomto hlasování pro Democratic Unionist Party ? - They are prepared to wail about the lack of extra Police resources, but not prepared to work to get those extra resources. They are prepared to stoop to blatant inaccuracies when it comes to extra money which we in the DUP negotiated from the Treasury claiming that it will have to be repaid, and when their blatant falsehood is spelt out they cower in silence. 
First they say of our present position that “there is a better deal on policing and justice” and then they rule out devolving it at all. There are those who want to know if one of the issues we are working on is a deal breaker and another not? Parades, personal protection weapons, resources, police reserve and other matters. Concentration has been focused on what status each of these issues has. 
The overriding importance should be attached, not to how others are categorizing our view of each of them, but the fact that we are working to resolve each one of them while others are not. - Změnil tento argument Váš názor na Democratic Unionist Party ? - A Sinn Fein without the IRA can never have the bargaining power that SF with the IRA had, but they still need to be confronted and reminded of their former deeds while they still continue to justify and legitimise their past.

Even now after republicans have been forced to move, the Unionist community need to know that one Party – the DUP, will continue to do this even if others do not."
